End of an era - no more money for running

Roughly 3 years ago I wrote a small post on the RunKeeper blog about how one can earn real money with running. More than a year later, I wrote another follow-up post on this blog, when I reached a serious milestone, and checked out $480 for running and eating healthy stuff. I mainly used 3 apps to achieve this, and now I'm sad to report, that all of them seems to be over.

Ten points to HRC

The House Cup of the Hogwarts Running Club is a ton of fun, as I have already mentioned in my previous post. The Headmistresses of HRC publish a "Miles Monday" post at the beginning of each week about the current state of the "competition". Following up on a crazy idea, I scrolled back on the page until the 11th of July, when the whole thing started. I have put all of the data into a spreadsheet to make some charts, hope You will find them interesting!

The magical trinity: running, wizardry, and charity

I came across the Charity Miles app a couple of years back, but I uninstalled it after a while, because I found it very cumbersome, that it can not export the tracks, or sync the data to the HealthGraph or any other database. However, after my Harry Potter Marathon I was surfing on facebook, and I ended up at the page of the Hogwarts Running Club.

I've just cashed out $480 for exercising!



More than a year ago I wrote a post on the “Beyond the miles” blog about how one can earn real money by running / cycling / etc. I've been using Pact (formerly GymPact), FitCrown, and AchieveMint for over two years now, and recently I've decided to check out the money I've earned this time.
